Want to win a R500 Hamper from Bliss Juicery at The Colony Shopping Centre? Then read on…😉
The Colony is an open-air lifestyle and destination shopping Centre in the Hyde Park, Craighall Park area, which I discovered at my bachelorette at The Cookery.
The centre used to be a boutique hotel but was refurbished into a shopping destination.
While visiting the Colony, I also stumbled upon Bliss Juicery, who are known for their 100% natural, cold-pressed juices, smoothies and wellness shots, designed to fuel your body and provide a healthy burst of vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
I am not one to ever say no to a good smoothie or juice, so this has to be my second favourite spot at The Colony.
Hidden Gems at The Colony: Bliss Juicery
Tucked away in a corner of the shopping centre, you’ll find a real hidden gem. So hidden in fact, I had never heard of this lovely decorated and airy spot until I walked around the centre on my last visit.
Bliss Juicery has developed a range of brightly coloured, deliciously fresh juices that have no additives or preservatives and are freshly cold-pressed and bottled each morning to ensure maximum freshness.
They have also created a 1-day, 3-day or 5-day cleanse program for those who want to do a juice cleanse.
Each of their cleanses consist of 5 x 500ml cold-pressed juices, 1 x Antioxidant shot and 1 x detox tea per day.
You can customise the juices and shots according to your preference too.
Why Consider Juicing?
As I have spoken about many times on the blog before, gut health is imperative for overall health and wellbeing.
Many of us have impaired gut health and digestion which reduces our body’s ability to absorb nutrients from vegetables.
Juices, shots and smoothies go directly into your bloodstream and are digested and absorbed easily by the body.
The problem though is that store-bought juices contain virtually no nutrients due to the pasteurization process and all the extra additives and preservatives.
That’s where Bliss is different, as their cold-pressed method extracts juice but still ensures to keep the fruits vitamins, minerals and enzymes intact.
It is a slow and delicate process and ensures that all nutrients and enzymes are retained to give you a juice with a high nutritional and health value.
While I am not advocating that you stop eating and only juice, what I do encourage is giving your gut a day or two to heal, by either eating soft foods or going on a guided juice cleanse.
