Oats have a bad rep. Maybe its because they are a carb, that they are seen as the enemy? Or maybe its because you think of being forced fed lumpy porridge as a kid?
What ever the reason may be, I plan to make Oats sexy again. Oats are a whole-grain food and are rich in fiber, manganese, the B vitamins thiamin and riboflavin, vitamin E and protein. They’re also low in sodium and fat and free of sugar, cholesterol and saturated fats.

- 1/2 cup of Rolled Oats (Gluten Free variety for me)
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 70ml Almond Milk
- TBS Honey
- TBS Carob Powder
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Add the oats and pinch of salt, reduce heat to low and cover and let simmer for 12-15 minutes. (May vary depending on oats, check your packaging and follow those directions if unsure)
Once the oats are cooked, turn off the heat and stir in the almond milk, honey, carob powder. Mix until well combined and top with preferred fruit if desired.
