Sweet and Sour Tofu

Here is my recipe for Sweet and Sour Tofu dinner – perfect for #MeatFreeMonday and it is Vegan & Gluten free too. Trust me it is DELICIOUS 😍

Ingredients

  • 1 400g Firm Tofu Block
  • 1/3 cup Maizena cornflour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Oil for frying
  • ½ cup Sweet & Sour Sauce

Instructions

  • Remove tofu from plastic and allow to drain for 15 minutes on a clean kitchen towel (with another clean Kitchen Towel and pan placed on top of the tofu)
  • Slice the block of tofu into four slices and then those slices into three of four chunks. Basically cut into cubes 😊
  • Place the tofu chunks into a bowl with the cornflour, salt, coriander and paprika. Toss well so tofu is fully coated in the flour
  • Heat a thin layer of coconut or sunflower oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Fry tofu for around 12- 15 minutes, flipping until golden brown.
  • 5.Pour over the sauce and heat through for a minute
  • Serve with rice, sesame seeds and greens
