If you do happen to stumble upon some firm tofu (Green Guru brand) then you can try this baked sweet & salty tofu version instead.

Sweet and Salty Baked Tofu
A recipe for Sweet and Salty Baked Tofu, that is gluten-free and is perfect vegan protein to add to rice, buddha or breakfast bowls.

Ingredients
- 1 block 400g Firm Tofu
- 3 tbsp tamari OR soya sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- pinch chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp sesame oil/canola oil
Instructions
- First, drain your tofu on a tea towel or paper towel with a pan or pot placed over it for ½ hour
- Mix tamari / lime / maple /chilli / oil / brown sugar together
- Once the tofu is drained, cut into small cubes & let marinate for 30 min
- Place on a baking tray & bake at 200C for 20 – 30 minutes, ensuring to coat the tofu with more marinade halfway through.
- Serve over a bed of rice, with lashing of sweet and sour sauce and spring onions.
