Here’s a fruity yet musky cocktail to try, this Cruxland Gin Deep Night gin recipe.
When Cruxland Gin asked if I would like to try their new Earthly Truffle Gin – I was apprehensive because I have never had a sophisticated enough palate to appreciate truffles 😂
I was pleasantly surprised to taste that their gin didn’t taste or smell like rotten garlic (the only way I can describe my previous experience) but rather it tasted kind of like Christmas pudding.
They shared there Cruxland Deep Night recipe with me, which I have recreated below.

KWV Cruxland London Dry Gin is Infused with Kalahari Truffles. In this recipe, it is paired with lime, blueberries and soda.
Servings 1
Ingredients
- 50 ml cruxland gin infused with black winter truffle
- 20 ml lemon juice
- 20 ml Black Berry Simple Syrup – handful blueberries 50ml water, 50ml sugar
- Soda Water
- Lime to Garnish
Instructions
- Simmer a handful of crushed blackberries in 50ml water in a saucepan until soft (5 min or so)
- Add 50ml sugar and stir until dissolved
- Strain and serve over ice with the gin.
- Top with Soda Water & lime wedge
