    FODMAP Friendly Creamy Oats

Today’s recipe is for my go-to bowl of FODMAP Friendly Creamy Oats. The original jungle oats work perfectly in this recipe, however, if you are celiac please use gluten-free oats instead. I myself can eat Jungle Oats without experiencing any bloating or pain. What are FODMAPs? Put simply, FODMAP’s are a collection of short-chain carbohydrates (sugars) that aren’t absorbed properly in the gut, which can trigger symptoms in people with IBS. But you don’t just have to have IBS to be effected, you may just experience general discomfort when eating these foods on a day to day basis. Collagen and Carob Oats

Here’s a recipe for my Collagen and Carob Oats. Oats have a bad rep. Maybe its because they are a carb, that they are seen as the enemy? Guilt-free Blackberry Oatmeal Parfait

Hello to today’s recipe: Guilt-free Blackberry Oatmeal Parfait, Vanilla Chia Oats, layered between fresh Blackberries, yoghurt and Blackberry Compote.  You heard that right: a Guilt-free Blackberry Oatmeal Parfait because breakfast doesn’t have to be boring brown oats. Blackberries are one of my favourite fruits and they seem to still be available at Woolies, so I grabbed a punnet to make this breakfast jar. Making the Parfait This recipe uses a quick sautée method to cook the blackberries and you can easily double this recipe if you want to make a bigger batch, and save half to put over your morning yoghurt. Once that’s done, we move onto the oats, which…

    Make Spiced Poached Pear Oats

Today’s recipe is how to make Spiced Poached Pear Oats, a gluten-free deliciously comforting breakfast, using pears, mixed spices, oats, butter and almond milk.   If you know me, you know I love to make pretty breakfasts. I believe that we eat with our eyes, so it is important to always make sure that the food that we are making for our family not only looks delicious but tastes delicious too. Oats have a rep for being bland, mushy and kind of gross, but that’s just because sometimes they are boiled too long, or they just aren’t treated with much love. My Tips for Making Oats Don’t cook your oats in…
