24 Days of Christmas – Caprese Wreath

Todays recipe for my 24 Days of Christmas challenge is this Festive Caprese Wreath, which is easy to make and only uses five ingredients. (not including salt and pepper ๐Ÿ˜)

This Caprese Wreath is also a pretty way to decorate your table for Christmas lunch, while enjoying a fresh, healthy side dish too.

The best part is probably that it takes only a few minutes to prepare – with no cooking needed.

Enjoy this Caprese Ring with some braaied chicken, or as a stand alone starter.

Caprese Wreath

Festive Caprese Ring

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rosa tomatoes washed
  • 200 g Fresh basil washed
  • 3 Mozzarella balls chopped in half
  • 20 ml Olive Oil
  • 10 ml Balsamic
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Lay all your basil leaves facing outwards to create a wreath shape. 
    2. Place half mozzarella balls and tomato around the wreath. 
    3. Season with salt and pepper. 
    4. To make the dressing, whisk Balsamic and Olive Oil and place in the centre of the wreath in a small ramekin / dipping bowl.
